Job Summary
The Pharmacy Tech Fulfillment Compounding is responsible for filling prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Job Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other compounding pharmacy technicians to make all the compounds requested (that are not commercially available)
- Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedule, ensure all applicable testing for sterility and/or potency is performed per USP 797
- Utilize specialized compounding equipment to weigh, and record chemicals included in a formula and then combine those chemicals into the appropriate dosage and form as requested in the prescription, under the supervision of the Pharmacist
- While completing fulfillment functions, check medication and administration supply inventory for out-of-date products, remove products from inventory and works with the appropriate resource to record out-of-date products; assist with full inventory and cycle counts; assist the inventory team with newly received inventory; assist the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing of medications and supplies

- Constantly (67-100% of time OR 6 or more hours) required to stand, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
- Ability to work in environment with constant (67-100% of time OR 6 or more hours) noise and distractions in close proximity with others
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift/carry 11 - 20 pounds frequently (34-66% of time OR 4-6 hours); ability to lift/carry 21 - 50 pounds occasionally (0-33% of time OR 1-3 hours)
- Ability to push/pull 11 - 20 pounds frequently (34-66% of time OR 4-6 hours); ability to push/pull 21 - 50 pounds occasionally (0-33% of time OR 1-3 hours)
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and/or grasp frequently (34-66% of time OR 4-6 hours)
- Ability to work effectively in environment with extreme temperatures, direct contact with chemicals and/or medications/drugs, and/or moving machinery on daily basis
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED
- Current Pharmacy Technician License/Registration or Training License without restrictions with State Board of Pharmacy in the State in which position is located (if required)
Additional Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to deal with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, including government and regulatory agencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team production environment with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year work experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, home delivery, and/or specialty environment
- Working knowledge of pharmacy management operating systems
